exercise nine:
Underwater Peace
Snorkeling and diving are two great activities we find time for on our
holiday, and the silence under water is ideal for staying in the moment
and experiencing life below.
Observe the soothing rhythm of the waves. Feel the warmth of the
sun on your skin, the fresh air on your face. Allow yourself to take
the plunge and dive in. Notice your lungs expand and contract as you
move through the water. Determine the length of your breath by the
number of your strokes that you take. Lengthen your exhalation as it
feels comfortable. Follow your breath, while remaining aware of your
body and which muscles are doing the work.
When you feel it’s time for a break, allow yourself to float and drift
with the waves. Feel the pressure, support and resistance as you move
your limbs through the water.
Let weighty emotions float out to sea.
